Bio- Sl’Amy is a mom, a teacher, a wife, and a kick ass derby dame. She loves giggling with her daughters, influencing students to strive for their best, cuddling with her hubby watching a movie, and furiously attacking all obstacles.
Biggest Influence- The community of derby women that I have had the privilege of becoming a part of has had a huge impact on me. They are the hardest working, loving, accepting, strong, and independent women I have ever known, and they continue to encourage me to be more of those same characteristics. Also, my amazing husband and parents have cheered me on through all endeavors without whom I might have given up.
Random Fact- I love the smell of cow manure.
Best Skating Moment- Every time I consciously decide I am going to smash an opponent into the floor, and then I actually do, is quite amazing. The first time that ever happened in my first bout against DDD will probably always be one of my best moments.
